Keane have headlined the Hasting Beer and Music Festival twice to huge acclaim, held in aid of St Michael’s Hostpice at Alexandra Park. The first time was in July 2005 after the mammoth success of the band’s debut album ‘Hopes and Fears‘ and the second was in July 2012, while on tour to promote their fifth consecutive number one album, Strangeland.

As a Grade II Park of Historic Interest, Alexandra Park has achieved the coveted Green Heritage Award and achieved the prestigious Green Flag Award for the eighth year running in 2012. The award recognises how well the park has been managed and its value to the wider community.
